Trade Safety
After the mining downturn in 2014, Rusty started working on a contract basis with Strait Up Cranes & Rigging as a WHS consultant & advisor and with the realisation that a lot of small business owners and trades contractors need a hand with WHS, Trade Safety was born.
Strait Up Cranes & Rigging remain part of the Trade Safety network and are our oldest and longest running client.
Trade Safety now is able to assist tradies, mining contractors and small business owners with their WHS requirements in a personal and practical way.
Our focus is on providing small business operators with suitable WHS Management Systems and support. We are now targeting the Housing Construction Industry assisting our clients with Site Safety Management Solutions making sure we are ‘Taking the Hassle Out of Safety’ for each and every client.
Russell Aldridge
Russell Aldridge (Rusty) is our founder, manager and Senior Work Health & Safety Consultant.
Rusty grew up in Mudgee and has over 10 years’ experience in construction, 5 years in the hospitality industry running 2 hotels in Mudgee. He also did an 8-year period in the mining sector working as an underground coal miner, workplace trainer and project manager for various contracting groups.
Rusty moved to Newcastle in 2017. He now lives in Adamstown and is a massive believer in leading an active lifestyle and spending time outdoors. Rusty is an avid cyclist and leads a community group called RNR Cycling with his partner Nicki. Check out www.rnrcycling.com.au He is always keen for a pedal and spends around 350 km a week on his bike, including occasionally commuting to our office in Mayfield West.
